In 1976, Maestro Lennard Kacenjar became the conductor of the MSO and developed the program to a new level of exceptional artistry.  As a dynamic and beloved leader, Kacenjar’s enthusiasm of music was contagious. During his 39 years as conductor, he created annual events that became staples in the East Texas community.
